This is a place I only recently discovered through this page on TripAdvisor.  I had no idea such an gorgeous lookout point was so close and easily accessible.  It’s a short hike that begins off a road in a residential area near the Tahoe Biltmore.  Believe it or not this is only two days ago; it’s been incredibly sunny and warm the past couple of days.  It’s been a task deciding whether to snowboard or go hiking in a tank top, all viable options at the point in Tahoe.  We found a fun structure someone had built.  It’s definitely not Native American ruins, but something someone constructed recently, but it sure is cool.  Someone also built a creative tepee-like structure that was interesting.  One of my favorite aspects of the lake is the deep, vivid blue.  If you want easy access to some quite, peace, and solitude with an expansive view of one of mother nature’s most stunning creations, this is the place.
